An officer witnessed cable burning at 7 Radcliffe Road Bentley and also called the Police .
As a result of a joint investigation with SYP and British Transport Police a cable burning conviction was secured as follows :-
Robert WILSON of Radcliffe Mount, Bentley was charged with burning installation from cable on 3rd October with a view to recovering metal from the cable. ( Clean Air Act 1993)
Did not attend. Proved in absence. Fine-£750.00, £533.08 costs, £15 surcharge and collection order made. 28 days to pay.
In addition British Transport Police secured conviction on 2/2/2012 at Doncaster Crown Court when Robert Alan Wilson was given a 3 month concurrent prison sentence for possessing criminal property ( money laundering) . The overall sentence was 30 months imprisonment
